Those that know me well know how much I adore all things vintage–ESPECIALLY vintage Tupperware. So it is fitting that my first post is about–you guessed it-Tupperware!

  • Tupperware gets its name from its inventor Earl Silas Tupper.
  • There is a Tupperware party being hosted every 2.5 seconds somewhere in the world. (omg..I remember these from when I was a kid a looooong time ago. Do they really still have these???)
  • Over 100 Tupperware items from the period 1946 to 1958 are housed in the Smithsonian Institution in Washington and the National Museum of American history.
  • Tupperware is identified as one of the 10 greatest inventions of the 20th Century by the Guinness Book of World Records.
  • Even Queen Elizabeth II loves Tupperware. According to this site, “the Queen’s breakfast table is laid out with cornflakes and porridge oats in Tupperware containers…”

Sounds like I am in good company!

Hope you have enjoyed this post of cool things!
