Fun Facts About All Kinds of Stuff!

About Me

So you want to know about me right? I assume so since you clicked on the “About Me” page. Well, here goes. I am the youngest daughter of  2 amazing and loving parents. My mother was the Dean of Students at the University of Michigan’s School of Medicine and my father is the former Ambassador to Kukistan. I spent most summers somewhere in Europe learning to speak (or trying to) many languages and trying out lots of food. I developed a special love for French pastries and Italian wines…

Ok, I cannot keep this facade up any longer. Sorry. I was trying to be more exiting, worldly and sophisticated than I really am.

Actually, I am the oldest daughter of  amazing and loving parents. They are average, hardworking Americans with extraordinary talents and characters that the world may never know–but I know and that is enough for me. I spent most summers with my grandparents in Charlotte, North Carolina (long live the Carolina Panthers and Ric Flair) and took Spanish in high school and college. Note, I never said I can speak it–I just confess to having studied it. Anyhoo, the only French foods that I have a special love for are French fries and I hate French Dressing. I am somewhat unsophisticated, I suppose, because I do not find wine palatable at all. Strawberry Kool-Aid is quite delish, though. And lemonade. Fresh, home squeezed lemonade. While sitting on a big front porch. In your grandma’s rocking chair. Priceless. Along with lemonade, I enjoy fried green tomatoes, fresh tomato sandwiches on toasted Sunbeam bread. And cheesecake. New York Style cheesecake….don’t forget the cheesecake.

Well, I hope you have not been bored to tears. This unsophisticated, lemonade drinking, tomato sandwich eating Southern girl is glad you stopped by. I hope you enjoy my meanderings and come back soon!
