Although Puzzle Day is a bit of  a ways off (January 29th to be exact) every day is puzzle day for some of us. We all know of a family member or friend who is hooked on some sort of puzzle whether it’s crossword, word search or even jigsaw puzzles.   • The world’s first crossword puzzle was published on December 21, 1913 in the New York Times.
  • Jigsaw puzzles were invented by the English mapmaker and geographer John Spilsbury in 1760.
